Got up early and had a nice breakfast at Citizen’s in Mandalay Bay before heading to airport. Played a few slots and Alex hit for $200 on his free play. Cha Ching! Got to airport with no trouble and very help American agent checked us in, added our frequent flier numbers and we were off to the gate. Nice comfortable ride in first class with wine / beer flowing. Got to Charlotte for our connection. Hurried to new terminal because there wasn’t much time between flights. Learned that there are mechanical issues with plane so a bit of a delay.
Waited about an hour in Charlotte till they found a new plane. Good news Charlotte is an American hub so not too hard to get new plane. We got called to the podium to tell us we lost our first class seat because it’s a smaller plane but they will give us a refund and also gave us each a voucher for $300. Not bad for a 30 minute flight. We’ll take it. Never a dull moment. Got our rental car and drove home. It was a little longer than we thought so got in about 1 am. I need to take the rental car back to Myrtle airport and pick up our car because they were closed last night. This adventure is over a long travel day but all is good. Until next time.
