Jan. 2022 – First Day at Palm Beach Shores

Written by Kim

The Palm Beach Shores Jetty – most eastern point in Florida

Not the prettiest day here but it was warmer than home. It was drizzling most of the day so we didn’t go to the beach as planned. Had breakfast at Johnny Longboats (no food pics I forgot) and they had a man playing sax which was a nice touch. When we went by later in the day they had someone playing steel drums. The place is busy and live music gives it a nice atmosphere. We treated the firefighters next to us for breakfast which is my new thing when I see first responders in a restaurant. I feel like it’s the least we can do for their service.

We took a walk down to the beach – it was pretty but empty due to weather. Hopefully tomorrow will be nicer. There were lots of people playing beach soccer and beach volleyball. It must have been the Saturday leagues. Did a few errands running around before lunch at a Thai place. It was pretty good. We ventured out for a walk to the jetty here which is the most eastern point in Florida. They have really nice paver walking paths in the community here. It’s not as nice as the Broadwalk in Hollywood, FL that we love because it’s not on the ocean but a nice alternative to walk through the town under the shade of mangrove trees.

My Pad Thai was good – forgot to take a picture before I was almost done. Lol

After our walk we headed back to Johnny Longboats to have some drinks and watch football. We have some friends that are Bengal fans so we’re happy they won. Too bad about the Packers I know my son and a few friends are their fans. Alex is a Giants fan and they weren’t in it all season so we just enjoyed watching the games without really caring who won. Both good games with underdogs winning

Until tomorrow.
