Well we’re 6 days into our 9 sea days and really enjoying this beautiful ship. It’s great to have time to explore all it has to offer. Typically we spend most of the day by the pool, take an afternoon nap, dinner, show, some casino and drinks at the pub or somewhere listening to live music. There are 3 pools, several hot tubs and a kids section on the main deck. We often refer to the Solarium as the morgue pool on other ships because it’s over 16 only and many appear to be much older. The solarium on this ship is a little better but no music and less active than the outdoor pools.
We love the entertainment on Royal Caribbean. There are so many venues offering different kinds of shows. We went to the ice show, 365., The Aqua theater show, Intense, the headliner show, a singer Jennifer Singer, and a production show, Tap Factory (similar to Stomp on Broadway with percussion and tap dancing.
We purchased a 5 night specialty dining package and are alternating main dining room (which has just been ok not as special as years ago) with specialty restaurants. We ate at Hooked, the seafood restaurant, Izumi, hibachi, and 150 Central Park, the French restaurant. All were very good.
After dinner and shows we usually find some music to listen to. We like Kevin in the pub. Last night was New Years Eve in April and we connected with a Scottish couple, a Swiss Lady and some Norwegian kids that got us into trouble dancing in the club till 3 am. It’s getting harder to recover from those late nights but they are fun.
I’ll post again in a few days. Until then..,,
