It wasn’t very nice weather for our sailaway but we enjoyed a cocktail on our balcony. We are off on Oasis of the Seas for a week heading to Port Canaveral & the Bahamas. We originally had planned to take Alex’s mom and dad for their 60th anniversary but then Covid hit, dad got sick and plans changed. Since we got additional credit we decided to splurge and enjoy the week with our two moms. We enjoy going out of NJ and under the Verranzo to start our journey. It’s always fun to get crazy pictures.
Our cabin is amazing. There are only 2 of the cabins in the entire fleet both on Oasis. We have a 2 bedroom aqua theater suite with a balcony that wraps around. The balcony has a door from the master bedroom as well as several doors from the living / dining room.
Our boarding process has a few small glitches. The porter wasn’t near the zone we were told to board so I put our luggage on the cart myself and had other port workers all checking on us. We are Star class in this suite which has a genie and all kinds of special treatment which makes me a little uncomfortable. We needed to wait a bit for our genie, Leticia, to escort us to our cabin and give us the lay of the land regarding the benefits we should expect. She had some treats in our cabin for us but we headed out to Park Cafe for a small bite to eat.
Star Class include unlimited drink package, unlimited specialty restaurants, and internet for us all including some other things. Dinner was at Chops. It was rainy so the seas were very choppy making it hard to get around. Dinner was delicious as usual. I’m trying hard to get some food pics for those who love food porn.
The seas were rough so we called it a night early because it was so hard to walk around. Until tomorrow.
