We’ve been on the go so had a slow day today. It was a bit cloudy, cool (50s in am, 60s in pm) and drizzly. We’ve only had one day in Christchurch with rain so we can’t complain. We went down to 5 Little Pigs in Huskisson’s Bay for breakfast. We sat outside and it was a bit cool. Note to self don’t order an extra takeaway flat white mid way through breakfast – took over 30 minutes to come which was testing my patience.

We enjoyed a boat trip around the bay in the afternoon.

The white sand beaches around the bay are beautiful and very remote. You get to many of them by entering Booderee National Park which is managed by the indigenous people.

After our boat ride we took a walk on Blenheim Beach which was down the street from our apartment

For dinner we went to The Pub. It was quite an interesting place. We looked online but there were no reservations so we stopped by after our boat trip and the lady was able to get us a reservation. We arrived to find our table

You went up to bar to get your drinks and went to bistro counter to order food where they gave you a buzzer that told you when to come back and collect your food. While we were eating they called some raffle numbers and it looked like the winners won uncooked meat to take home. You don’t see that in the US. It was delicious – simple and efficient approach!

Tomorrow we drive to Merimbula but will stop in Tibla on the way for a tour. Until then….
