March 2026 – First Port – Little Divvy Bay, St Martin

Written by Kim

Odyssey at St Martin

St Martin is a favorite of ours not only for the beaches but for the bourbon too. We took a taxi to the beach. We got off the ship early and walked through port to grab a taxi first $5 a person to Little Divvy beach.

We rented 2 chairs and an umbrella for $15 a couple. The water was a bit cool but refreshing. The beach wasn’t terribly crowded which was nice. There was a little energetic 3 year old next to us who entertained us running back and forth out of the surf. We even got to sing a few Miss Rachel and Wiggles songs that he was surprised I knew.

On our way back to port we made a stop at Gohmohar liquor store where Alex picked up a few of his favorite bourbons. He got Blanton’s gold that you can’t find by us for $140 and regular Blanton’s for $79 which is a good price. I also got a bottle of Ciroc coconut which is getting hard to find for $30 at the duty free store by the water taxi. You can’t leave St Martin without a beer (or 2) at Sharkey’s
