You may be asking yourself – they said they were traveling in November but here we are on the 6th but they are still home at North Myrtle. It’s been a bit of a rocky few months which have caused us to reflect on our finances and determine what was prudent. We did a big project at our home to replace our screen porch and second floor deck above it. That project ran over budget so we had to cut back our plans a bit. The porch is finally done and we are preparing to hit the road next Friday, November 13.
Anyhow, we basically cut out the Texas part of our plans and it will work perfectly with our adjusted timeline to go from New Orleans to Hot Springs and still get to Memphis. So….our new itinerary is:
- Augusta, GA
- Columbus, GA
- Destiny, FL
- Biloxi, MS
- New Orleans, LA
- Hot Springs, AK
- Memphis, TN
- Sparta, TN (Mom’s for Thanksgiving)
- Tifton, GA
- Tampa, FL – 7 night cruise on Radiance
- Back home!
Now I need to get my butt in gear. Packing will be a bit crazy because I need both summer and warmer clothes. Also, I need to get my house decorated for Christmas because the day after we return we are hosting our bowling Christmas party. The project manager in me is making lists and staging activities over the next week. And oh yeah….we are golfing a Tunnel to Towers golf outing the day before we leave so had to adjust pickup for our rental car…..no worries just a few things to coordinate. More once we hit the road. We look forward to taking you along.
