Day 24 – Recovering at sea after French Polynesia (10/10/19)

Written by Kim

We were happy today to have a relaxing day at sea after 2 busy days in French Polynesia. I got the opportunity to do some laundry (hand washing but good therapy). I do miss some of the normal chores at home. We played progressive trivia and did ok not great with 12 out of 20. He keeps asking composers – today he asked composer of Little Mermaid score. It’s Alan Menken if you care we guessed Randy Newman but he did Toy Story and some other Pixar films. Ate lunch in main dining room then up to the pool deck for the International Belly flop contest. It wasn’t very international as all 12 guys were from Australia. It was a bit cool at the pool only 68 degrees and windy but the sun felt good and I need to work to be that bronze goddess I keep threatening to become. Lol.

Went to the lounge we seems a bit less crowded than last cruise. We got the numbers tonight – 38 Pinnacle, 340 Diamond Plus, 560 Diamond so 938 total when last cruise was about 1100 I think. While I’m on the numbers I never told you there were 417 consecutive cruisers who were on both our first cruise starting in Vancouver and the one which started in Honolulu. We enjoyed getting some new tips from Pat and Rayden. Pat said to me tonight that we remind them of themselves when they were younger. They love to just explore with some plans but allowing impromptu adjustments. We love that too. We had dinner in Izumi the Japanese sushi restaurant tonight.

Pat’s chocolate martini.
Top to bottom – Alex’s sashimi tuna & yellowtail, surf & turf roll with filet mignon and tempura shrimp and lobster tempura roll.
We killed the edamame

After dinner we went to Groovy night the 70s party to dance a bit and get some steps in. We like the 70s party because they don’t do line dances usually. When we returned to our room we saw out towel Frog and a reminder than the clocks were changing so an additional hour of sleep- yeah! Till tomorrow😘
