Normally we would rent an Airbnb at Hollywood beach to soak up some sun after the golf tournament but this year we stayed at Hard Rock. They offered us nearly free rooms ($139 for 4 nights) which couldn’t compete with the expensive Airbnb rooms in South Florida. They know we will gamble so it’s worth their investment to get us here we know that. This time we were winners also which always is nice.
We spent Friday at the pool. It’s a gorgeous pool beneath the guitar hotel. Quite the sights to watch too. Lots of thongs and booties in South Florida. We watched dirty old men buy young chickies drinks then some of the girls passed out for a nap mid afternoon. Lots of good people watching. We played some pai gow at night and won a bit so we were happy.
Saturday we decided to take a ride to Hollywood Beach which was about 20 minutes away. It was a gorgeous beach day. It was about 80 degrees so not too hot but nice and sunny. We went in the ocean even though it was a little cool – water was probably 70 or so. I worked on my tan – you all know the bronze goddess I can be.
We watched some Footvolley on the beach. It’s quite a sport like a cross between soccer and volleyball. Basically volleyball with your feet, body and head but you can’t use your hands. These guys and girls are amazing.
Before heading back to Hard Rock we had dinner at a Latin restaurant, Mamacitas, that we like on the broad walk (yes that’s what it’s called not a typo). It was delicious
We had a great night in the casino – well I broke even but Alex had several big bonuses at pai gow. He had 5 aces which is the biggest hand he’s ever hit and also had 2 straight flushes. Tomorrow we need to go to the bank to make a deposit before we get on our cruise. Wahoo it’s always nice to win.
