I flew up to NJ on Sunday while Alex finished his golf tournament. My flight was rescheduled due to the snow on Saturday and was packed. Overhead bin storage was limited so I was glad I only brought my under the seat bag. Those bags are great and I can pack for about 5 days without toiletries and extra shoes. I am fully stocked with toiletries in our apartment which makes things simpler and flights cheaper
Alex was in the lead going into the last day of the 4 day tournament, The Formy Irish Open, with his friends from the Golf Club of NJ. He’s finally out of his slump and playing well. Albacoa is always the course they play on Sunday and Alex really loves this course. It’s his 12th time playing this tournament and the second time he took first place. Congrats Alex – great shooting.
Monday I spent the day with Heather and Lux getting Heather ready for her new job. She will be working for a PR firm, still writing but no longer at the Tile magazine. They have lots of interior design clients so they were very interested in Heather’s background as she knows quite a bit about the industry and has attended several of the shows they attend. Congrats to Heather! Lux is a good shopper – gotta train them young! He took a nap, enjoyed looking at himself in the mirror, and having snacks in his stroller.
Got a treat to have dinner with Nancie and Jake to celebrate Nancie’s birthday.
