March 2026 – 2nd port – a visit to Ocean Resort at Antigua

We booked a day pass for Ocean Resort through Resort for a Day for $85. It included pool & beach access, lunch, a welcome drink, snacks and 2 drinks. We took about a 20 minute taxi ride to get there for $10 per person. The resort was very nice. Tony secured us 6 nice padded loungers by the pool under the sunshades.

Nice big pool

Shortly after we arrived we learned that they have water aerobics in the pool. I was excited to do it since I enjoy the classes at home. This was a little more strenuous and I felt it in my core later in the day. Maybe there’s hope for me.

The resort had 2 beaches which were beautiful.

It started to rain around lunchtime so we went to eat.

Our lunch – Alex & I split a chicken burger & cheesesteak

Unfortunately after lunch it continued to rain on and off so we headed back to the ship.

Back at the ship we saw this! Hiding ducks is a thing on cruise ships. Evidently the kids throw ducks from open balconies into this sculpture. It’s amazing to see how some of them are stuck in the sides, etc, I guess when the ship goes to dry dock in a few weeks they will clean them out,

A sculpture that goes several floors from around deck 6 to deck 14,

It was a great day on Antigua. Did you know that Antigua has 365 beaches which- one for every day of the year but it is only. 108 square miles?

A beautiful sunset

Next port is Martinique. Tomorrow I’ll tell you all about why we don’t get off the ship there anymore. Stay tuned…..I’m all caught up now. I need to get on a chat with Word press because we’re still having issues probably due to the latest IOS update. Ugh….
