St Kitts is one of my favorite Caribbean islands. It is a big rugged, very hilly landscape with Atlantic Ocean on one side and Caribbean Sea on the other. It’s super clean with magnificent homes high on the hills overlooking the sea. I learned something new this trip that they don’t really go to the beaches on the Atlantic side so most resorts are on the Caribbean because the Atlantic Ocean is more rough and has a huge drop off not far from the shore so very dangerous.

We got a taxi at the port for $10 per person to go to Cockleshell Bay which we enjoy. Reggae Beach never disappoints. It’s nothing special – but very relaxing. We got 2 chairs and an umbrella for $20. The chairs are in bad shape but we spent lots of time I. The water so no biggie. Patty emailed them to reserve chairs in the front row.

We had a delicious lunch here. My mahi sandwich was so juicy and fresh.

I enjoy conch fritters and always think of my dad when I eat them because he loved them too. I remember when I was a kid and he brought back a live conch in his suitcase with fritter mix from the Bahamas so he could make us fritters when he got home. My dad was a hoot!

The best part of the day is relaxing with friends

The drive back is always breathtakingly beautiful.

And of course we had some local beer, Stag. Yum,

We had a delicious date night dinner at Chops. While we were sitting at the pool on Martinique day they were offering 50% off so we added a date night.

The show tonight was acrobatic aerialist – Duo Quintessence. They were amazing.

Their story was very heartwarming too. They met on a ship when they were both dancers and paired for a production show. Now they are married and worked hard to learn the aerial trick and develop their own headliner show.

Good bye St Kitts until next time…..next & last port San Juan before heading back north to NJ.
