2022

May 4, 2022 – Barcelona

Written by Kim

It’s almost midnight and we are still at restaurant watching football gamd. Here’s an update. Disembarking was simple. We carried off our luggage so slept till 8 then went to Park Cafe before leaving the ship. It was simple. There were only 2 immigration agents so they barely checked your passport just a stamp and within 15 minutes we were out. We grabbed a cab to our hotel to take a brief rest. We are staying at hotel Nobu near the main train station because we are only here one night and taking the train to Madrid tomorrow afternoon. We are right across the street from the train station. Lots of bars and restaurants near by.

Hop on hop off bus
Barcelona cruise port very organized. 15 minutes through customs and 10 minutes for taxi
Nobu hotel room – very comfortable
Recently remodeled or new?
Bell hop tells me my suitcase is heavy!

We took the hop on hop off bus but not too many pictures. We were tired and just enjoyed the ride around the city. We’ve been here before and recognized a lot.

Sky tram (more Barcelona pics tomorrow)
Plaza de Catalunya

We had to make a stop at the Apple store. We’ve never purchased anything in a US Apple store but have been here twice in Barcelona. Our last trip we left Alex’s Cpap in a cab and didn’t have any charger. This trip we broke our HDMI adapter to connect phone to tv and watch You Tube.

We stopped for some breakfast. I’m addicted to toast with tomatoes. So good.

Breakfast

After running around on the bus we had some tapas

Croquettes
Spicy potatoes which were not spicy. Some kind of cheese sauce
Grilled asparagus (and no I didn’t ask for Mayo). Delicious

We had a siesta because we saw a shirt that said no siesta no fiesta so we are practicing it. Then went to dinner to watch “football” for Real Madrid vs Manchester City

I ordered a bottle of wine (14€ a bargain) while Alex had cerveza
More tomato bread – my favorite
Scrambled eggs with shrimp, onion & garlic – delicious
Galician stew – pork, beans, potatoes, cabbage. yum!
Pineapple and Iberian ham

Our Brady, turns 3 months today. What a blessing he is over 10 pounds and so adorable. May the 4th be with you!
