Today we took a tour with Sydney Harbour Bike tours that took us all over Sydney and back and forth across the bridge.

We started the day with some breakfast sandwiches and my flat white which I love. My knee is still a bit sore but it held out especially because we had e-bikes for assistance.

The tour took us all around the sights of the city on a 3 hour – about 10 mile trip. Our e-bikes required that you pedal but gave us extra power for the hills – Sydney is quite hilly.

Our guides, Grant and Linda, were fabulous. It was a small group with 6 guests and one of them at the front and one in the back ensuring our safety.

Grant was great about stopping for photo ops to share a little history and ensuring we had great photos to commemorate our visit.

Some may remember that last time when we were in Sydney we climbed the bridge. It was an amazing (but scary experience). We wanted to try something different this time on the iconic bridge. Here’s a few memories of our climb almost exactly 6 years ago

Biking over the bridge was much less scary. There is a bike lane on one side of the bridge and pedestrian path on the other side. We rode across, made a u-turn and came back.

I knew Alex was a smart engineer but didn’t think he could guess that closely the number of rivets. After the tour he told me Grant told him the number to say. lol. Good fun.
I highly recommend a bike tour if you’re in Sydney. Sydney Harbour bike tours is the company to use as they keep their tours small, they are lots of fun, and with 2 guides have patience for us slower riders who sometimes fall behind. I told them I’m just happy to be out there and realize I can’t keep up with the kids but I’m ok in my skin and skills!
After our tour I was exhausted and my knee was throbbing so we went home for a nap before heading out to grab a bite to eat. We took the bus to get dinner checking out Neutral Bay downtown rather than crossing the harbor again. We went to an Irish pub who we thought had a restaurant but it turns out they ordered food from somewhere else for you and it was delivered by Uber Eats. That was new for us.
