We’ve been to St Maarten many times and decided to spend the day at Little Divi Bay resort. Our taxi was $6 per person and 2 chairs and an umbrella were $15. It wasn’t the nicest beach day with some showers on and off but the island was empty since we were the only ship in port. Last time we were here it was nuts as I think there were 10 ships in port
Alex found a liquor store here that gets fantastic bourbon for a reasonable price. Bourbon is such a hot commodity these days you can’t really find much near us and the markups are outrageous. He got a Blanton Barrel Select for $175, Blanton’s $85 and Eagle Rare $47. If you buy 3 bottles they will deliver it right to the ship for you
We enjoyed some lunch at the beach prior to taking a taxi back to the ship in a good rain shower.
We had dinner at the Lawn Grill with Patty & Tony. Food was delicious
The show the previous night was Charity Lockheart, a singer, who does lots of Aretha Franklin. She was very good and shared her success story from homelessness sleeping in her car with her 2 kids to winning a singing contest that helped her get on her feet and start her career. Hard work and perseverance pays off.
The show tonight was, Life, a production show with the fantastic Silhouette cast.
We enjoyed a nightcap out on our balcony. We noticed the last few times we cruised we didn’t really spend time on our balcony like we used to so we’re spending more time there this cruise
Good night from Silhouette!
