April 2024 – Another first – visit to Tobago

Written by Kim

Pigeon Point, Tobago

After a busy bus tour in St Lucia yesterday, we looked forward to a relaxing beach day at Tobago. We had never been here and realize this is the southern most point we’ve been to. Did you know Tobago is south west of Barbados and considered part of South America. We weren’t sure what to expect but heard the beaches were beautiful.

We exited the ship and were greeted by dancers in costume.

We got a cab for 4 for $25 each way and left for Pigeon Point Beach. It cost us $3.50 each to enter the beach and $5 each to rent a chair. We arrived around 9:30 but they were already out of umbrellas but luckily there were lots of trees for shade.

The beach was beautiful and the water was bright blue and very calm. There was a little drop off when you first entered the water but Alex helped me get out after lounging in the water.

About midday some storm clouds formed but we only got a drizzle before it passed and the sun came back out.

We had dinner in the main dining room, Food and service were very good again, Our table was a little small (a 4 top for 6 of us) and it was in the middle of the dining room so it was quite loud and hard to hear each other. We still enjoyed dinner before heading to the production show.

The show was a bit weird tonight. It was costumed singers and dancers and aerialists. The talent in the cast is amazing.

Tomorrow we are in Barbados. Until then…
